Dr. Hossein Asadi and his colleagues from the Faculty of Computer Engineering (Mrs. Elham Cheshmi Khani, Ph.D. student, and Dr. Hamed Farab, a Ph.D. graduate) have won the Best Paper Award of the Design Track in DATE Conference: ACM/IEEE Design Automation and Test in Europe.
The conference is one of the most prestigious conferences in the field of computer hardware design. The event has a world-wide reputation for its rigorous choice of papers and its rate of paper acceptance ranged merely from 22% to 24% during previous years. According to Google Scholar, DATE’s publications are among the top publications in the field of Computer Engineering and Science, having an h5-index higher than many world-known journals in the mentioned field. It is worth mentioning this is the first time in the whole 22-year history of this conference that an article authored by an Iranian won the best article award. The article entitled “Enhancing Reliability of STT-MRAM Caches by Eliminating Read Disturbance Accumulation” is a study on the improvement of the reliability of cache memories, which is equipped with a new generation of non-volatile memories.
